GSI Newport Beach to Present Stormwater Management and Chemistry at IWA DIPCON in UCLA

GSI Newport Beach will present three talks regarding stormwater management including stormwater infiltration and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) and the fate and transport of the pollutant in urban runoff in International Water Association (IWA) 18th Diffuse Pollution & Eutrophication Conference (DIPCON).  The conference will be held in UCLA during August 13-17, 2017.

The IWA DIPCON has organized international conferences since 1993 and addressed diffuse pollution control including the development of new approaches for best management practices (BMPs) and technical solutions for stormwater runoff and groundwater.

Three talks are:

1. Managing Stormwater through Infiltration – An Alternative Approach for Measuring TMDL Compliance
2. The Uncertainty of Groundwater Recharge through Stormwater
3. Bioavailability of Hydrophobic Organic Pollutants in Urban Runoff

Key GSI team members include: Tim Simpson, P.E., G.E., Tony Daus, P.G., BCES, and Chris (Meng-Horng) Hsu, D.Env., P.E..  The program brochure of the conference can be downloaded here:
