Changing Standards for Vapor Intrusion: GSI to Co-present with California Bar Associations

Peter Scaramella, a senior risk assessor at GSI, will be providing perspective to environmental attorneys with state of California regulators regarding recent changes to California’s vapor intrusion regulatory guidance. Although VI investigations have been performed for decades, the science and technology that inform our understanding of this issue are still evolving. To complement the regulatory discussion of the recent technical and regulatory changes to vapor intrusion evaluation strategies, Peter will be discussing the potential implications for site cleanup and long-term site management.

On February 7th, Peter will join Dr. Nick Amini of the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board and Dr. Nicole Fry of the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board (SFRWQCB) in a presentation to the Orange County Environmental Law Section. This presentation will be followed by an address to the Bar Association of San Francisco with Cheryl Prowell of the SFRWQCB and Claudio Sorrentino of the California Department of Toxic Substances Control on February 13th.
