Peter Scaramella and Lila Beckley to Present at the March 2019 AEHS Conference

GSI Presentations at the Association for Environmental Health and Sciences (AEHS) Foundation West Coast Conference in San Diego, CA:

Wednesday, March 20th – “Estimates of Volatile Organic Compound Concentrations in Outdoor Ambient Air in California from the GeoTracker Database.“ Peter Scaramella will be presenting on background ambient air concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Indoor air data is a key line of evidence in vapor intrusion evaluation and understanding the magnitude and variability of VOCs in outdoor ambient air is key to understanding limitations in indoor air data. This presentation will describe the results and implications of outdoor ambient air data mined from the California Regional Water Quality Control Board GeoTracker website.

Thursday, March 21st – “Risk Factors and Investigation Protocol for Sewer Vapor Intrusion.” Lila Beckley will present a summary of results from a recently-completed research project on sewers and utility tunnels as preferential pathways for vapor intrusion. The presentation will include an update to the conceptual model for this pathway and recommendations for its assessment.
