Richard L. Bowers, P.E., BCEE

Mr. Bowers is an Environmental Engineer with 24 years of experience dealing with a broad range of environmental issues and chemical contaminants in soil, water, and air, with specialization in environmental site investigation, contaminant fate and transport modeling, water resources evaluation and management, human health risk assessment, and risk-based corrective action (RBCA) design. He received an M.S. in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rice University. In addition to managing engineering projects, Mr. Bowers has provided extensive technical support for numerous national and international litigation and arbitration cases involving alleged soil and groundwater contamination. He also leads GSI's RBCA software and training business and is the primary technical developer of GSI's world-renowned "RBCA Tool Kit for Chemical Releases", the most widely used software program for evaluation of soil and groundwater remediation sites. He has personally conducted over 360 hours of instruction for training courses and webinars covering environmental risk management and related software tools for regulatory authorities other industry professionals across the US and many international locations.
