Steve Irvin

Mr. Irvin is a Technical Writer and Research Assistant with GSI. He has over 15 years of technical writing and technical editing experience in the fields of scientific/engineering consulting, computer technologies, ethical hacking, and software testing. He has also provided technical project support through online research and creation of custom budget tracking spreadsheets and technical diagrams for inclusion in reports.

As a member of InfoWorld Magazine’s Test Center, Mr. Irvin wrote and contributed to numerous published product reviews and technology evaluations. He also shared a byline in the popular weekly column “Down to the Wire.” He was twice awarded the prestigious Computer Press Awards Runner-Up for Best Software Product Review.

As the ISO 9001 Quality Representative for a former employer, he oversaw seven consecutive successful audits and was chiefly responsible for creating and maintaining a “culture of quality.” He has implemented numerous cost-saving process improvements using free software tools and interactive spreadsheets for tracking global status of projects in process.

Mr. Irvin has provided strategic project assistance for large dollar projects and complex billing situations. Special assignments have included managing dozens of high-value contracts (totaling over $20M+) for a large utility client, as well as budget monitoring and reporting for project managers.
