GSI Shawn Paquette 12A4166 small web Mr. Paquette is a Vice President and Principal Environmental Engineer with GSI Environmental Inc. He received a B.S. from the University of Vermont in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Rice University and has over 25 years of experience in the environmental industry. Mr. Paquette is a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas and an American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE).

Mr. Paquette has extensive professional experience in fate and transport modeling, risk assessment, environmental litigation support (including roles as both consulting and testifying expert), environmental software development and training, and has designed, implemented, and managed numerous environmental site assessment and remediation activities under various state and federal regulatory environmental programs. In addition to experience with regard to commercial and industrial facilities, Mr. Paquette has personally designed, managed, and conducted site inspection, investigation, and remediation activities at oil and gas exploration and production facilities in the United States, Latin America, West Africa, and the Middle East and has completed due diligence audits for oilfield lease and facility transactions.

Mr. Paquette also has extensive experience related to vapor intrusion, including design and implementation of investigation programs and evaluation of sampling results to distinguish between vapor intrusion and background sources of indoor air impacts, as well as preferential pathways for vapor migration. Prior to joining GSI, Mr. Paquette was a research assistant at Rice University in Houston, Texas, with a research focus on groundwater flow and chemical fate and transport modeling.
