Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

As the Senior IT leader in this growing consulting firm, the candidate will oversee all aspects of IT and supervise other IT staff. Tasks and responsibilities include:
  • Proven expertise in the management of a primarily Windows based environment including upgrades, GPO policy management, imaging, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Must be able to coordinate multiple tasks and to work effectively in a team environment with internal and external customers, including IT vendors and solution providers.
  • Able to service several Mac users.
  • Coordinate the technical support for four offices in Texas and California, as well as remote users in the U.S. and other countries.
  • Able to clearly articulate highly detailed needs and solutions in a manner that is easily understood by non-technical staff and management.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and manage VMWare ESXi Cluster Environment.
  • Must be able to administer Linux servers and troubleshoot when necessary.
Desired Education and Experience
  • Four-year college degree or comparable education preferred.
  • 3+ years managing a small lT group.
  • Ten or more years of industry experience maintaining a multi-office network.
Firm understanding of:
  • VMWare Virtualization technologies (including iSCSI/NFS datastores).
  • VEEAM Backup and Recovery.
Knowledge of:
  • advanced networking technologies such as IPSEC VPN’s, VLANS, QoS, IPS/IDS/DPI firewalls (Sonicwall preferred) and Linux server administration (specifically Debian / Ubuntu LAMP stacks).
  • DNS Management (multi-zone, internal / external tiers).
  • DHCP
  • GPO’s (Create / Deploy).
  • Active Directory / LDAP Administration.
  • MS-SQL (2008 – 2016)
  • Office 365 / Management / Deployment / Portal.
  • NFS / iSCSI Data Stores.
  • Sonicwall NSA/TZ Series Firewalls.
  • IPSEC / SSL VPN (Cross-linked / mesh topology).

This position entails conducting field investigations and assisting the project team in evaluation and reporting field investigation results under the direction of a senior professional. 

Duties include:
  • Supporting preparation of technical documents, including quality assurance project plans, monitoring/sampling plans, health and safety plans, field records, and regulatory reports
  • Performing assignments requiring application of standardized techniques procedures and criteria
  • Performing field observations and sampling of environmental media (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, sediment, etc.)
  • Compiling and evaluating technical data and coordinating with laboratories
  • Managing environmental data and databases

·       Developing technical approaches for completing site characterization activities

·      Developing standard operating procedures for field sampling and training programs for field professionals
·      Providing technical training and support to junior staff to ensure field tasks are completed with precision and consistency
